Wilderness First Responder Review (Recert) -2-Day

Designed specifically to recertify WFRs, this 16-hour course reviews the WFR curriculum through scenarios, lectures, and discussions. This program is open to graduates of SOLO, WMI at NOLS, and WMA. Non-SOLO WFRs must be currently certified at the time of the Review. copies of WFR and CPR cards are required by SOLO to complete recertification process. As noted, only certain non-SOLO WFR certifications are recognized by SOLO; students with inappropriate cards or expired certifications may not be able to complete the recertification process.

Swiftwater Rescue - 2 days (18 hrs.)

|
The first half of each day will concentrate on theory and on-land practice. The second half of the day, students will participate in water exercises. On day 2, the course will end with a mock rescue. Topics include: hydrology, river wading, passive and aggressive swimming, rescue PFD use, strainer drill, knots and anchors, V-lowers, and mechanical advantage. More about SWR
