Wilderness First Responder -9-Day Intensive

Created to provide outdoor leaders, guides, rangers, and travelers with effective emergency medical training needed to deal with crises in remote settings, this 80-hour course meets and exceeds all Department of Transportation National Standards for First Responder with additional protocols for extended care situations. The emphasis of the WFR is on prevention and decision-making. Many organizations have flattered SOLO by their adoptions of the SOLO WFR curricular components as the de facto standard for first aid training of outdoor professionals. It is the standard for Outward Bound and NOLS employees and for AMGA-certified guides. This course includes basic CPR.
