NEWS

Relief Medic Program relieves need for realistic training for EMTs

In August 2005, Core Expeditions and Landmark Learning launched the Relief Medic program with 8 participants.  The 2005 program focused its attention in the Napo River region on the frontier of the Amazon Basin.  Relief Medic was developed as a hands-on training program for intermediate EMTs. Participants in the program experience part of their training in the United States and the other half in rural areas of Ecuador.  The success of this program has initiated a new series of Relief Medic dates starting in August 2006. The program is currently open for enrollment in 2006 (August). With the success of Relief Medic- EMT, we are currently developing Relief Medic-DOC.
