DAY 1 Quito. Arrive in Quito (9,000’). Met at airport and escorted to accommodation.

DAY 2 El Centro, Quito. Acclimatize yourself with a promenade through the colonial district of Quito's El Centro at 9,000 feet above sea level.

DAY 3-6 Otavalo Market and Artisan Towns. Wake up early morning and walk down the cobblestone road to the largest indigenous market in South America. People representing countries all over South America come to Otavalo to show their wares and artistry.

DAY 7 Quichinche - Cayambe (18,996’). Cayambe, the 3rd highest peak in Ecuador located on the equator is surrounded by the Cayambe-Coca ecological reserve which stretches from the high altitude of the Andes to the lush tropical flora of the Amazon. Catch the sun setting on this spectacular setting.

DAY 8 Cayambe- Papallacta. Rise early morning to catch the sun rising on Cayambe and contrast the different lighting and its effect on your photography. In the evening, we drive to Papallacta just over the continental divide where healing thermal springs await.
